David and his team at DC Design and Build designed, handled planning permission for, and built our 29sqm side extension, which included a reception room, downstairs bathroom, a utility room and partial kitchen refit. We first asked Dave to quote for design and build of our side extension. Dave listened to our needs, was very thorough when he came to quote, and had an excellent manner. He worked with us to ensure the quote he put together was within our budget, and all this gave us confidence he was the right man for the job. Throughout the process Dave listened to our needs. He designed our extension taking into consideration future plans to increase it to two-storeys, and we achieved our planning permission for this first time. During the build, Dave and his team worked hard to keep to both budget and deadlines, while also adapting to anything that cropped up. We were always kept up to date with progress, and he was very responsive whenever we had a question. What we really appreciated was that Dave and his small team were the ones on site every day, giving continuity and confidence that they all knew the project well. We have since asked Dave back a couple of times to carry out small additional works, which he has done to a high standard, and will look to use DC Design and Build in the future if we need other works completing.

Dave was outstanding from start to finish, always very friendly and professional. He listened carefully to our needs and then provided a detailed quote. His price was very reasonable and he was happy to explain costs and make adjustments to fit with our budget. During the design process he made sure we were getting the features and styles that we wanted but also really helped to steer us when we were about to make a mistake. His work was to a superb standard including: building, plastering, tiling, carpentry, electrics, plumbing and decorating. I would recommend DC Design and Build to anyone!

To whom it may concern With so many cowboy builders out there one of the most important thing I was looking for in a building company was trust. I certainly found that with Dave; along with good communication and great workmanship. Dave kept us updated at every stage of the process and couldn't be more helpful. Mess and disruption was kept to a minimum and they were careful not to encroach on our lives which is difficult with such a major extension. I would recommend DC Build and Design for projects large or small. What really helped with this project was the fact that they took care of the design, planning permission, and build. This meant there was no middle man,or buck passing. There was true accountability for the whole project management as well as aftercare once the project was completed.
